Use TTforTwo to play a virtual table tennis game with another player who also has this app. Each player sees the game from his or her end of the table. A Bluetooth connection between the two iPhones is used to synchronize the action when the players hit the ball.
You hit the ball by tapping on the screen. As in a real game, the angle of the bat determines the direction of the ball. You control the angle of the bat by tilting or rotating the iPhone.
Before you challenge another player, its a good idea to practice hitting the ball and controlling its direction. You can do this by running TTforTwo in single-player mode. A virtual opponent (who is quite hard to beat) will serve and return the ball.
TTforTwo follows the official rules of table tennis set by the International Table Tennis Federation, with an 11-point scoring system. The score is displayed after each point, with an explanation of why the point was lost. Each match (best of three or best of five) starts with a simulated coin toss for the right to choose who serves.
